1851 Listed as an Iron Moulder in Redruth.[1]

1881 Living at town Mill, Portreath Road, Redruth: William Sara (age 70 born Perranwell), Iron Founder. With his wife Mary J. Sara (age 46 born Redruth) and their son William H. Sara (age 45 born Redruth), Civil Engineer. One servant.[2]

1883. Died. '...on the occasion of the funeral of Mr W. Sara, the Rector objected allow the Wesleyan ministers the Redruth Circuit take part in the burial service, on the ground that it would be illegal. That ruling has since been questioned...'[3]
