Prof William John Walker, DSc, PhD (Fellow), who joined the Institution 52 years ago, died on May 18th. In his capacity as Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg, he helped and encouraged many young Members of the Institution and was on the South African Advisory Committee.
