1818 Died: 'Lately, at Green Field, near Holywell Flintshire, Wm. Fothergill, aged 58, foreman to the copper company at that place for 28 years, and the inventor and patentee of the solid copper roller for printing calicoes. He was a grandson of the celebrated Anthony Fothergill, of Brownber, Ravenstondale.'[1]
