1813 Sale notice: 'All the Household Goods, Farming Stock, and Stock in Trade, of WM. FORREST, of Shiffnal, Threshing Machine maker, a Bankrupt; also the Lease of his Premises in Shiffnal, for a term of 8 years from Lady-day next, and the possession of 11 Acres of Land contiguous to the town of Shiffnal until Lady-day 1814.
The Farming Stock consists of ..... The Stock in Trade consists of a portable thrashing machine, a hand thrashing machine and a washing machine in good condition, various parts of machinery nearly compleated, half-inch and inch oak and other boarding, a great variety of seasoned oak, ash, and beech planking and beams, square and converted timber for millwrights and other purposes, likewise oak, ash, elm, and fir timber in the round, a large quantity of iron for thrashing machines and general purposes, work benches, patterns for castings, and an excellent lathe for turning iron er wood, a variety of tools, connected with the Smith's shop. ....'[1]
