1844 Born in Boston, Lincs., the son of William Cary, Coach Spring Maker, and his wife Lucy

1867 June 20th. Married in Manchester to Alice Ann Roberts

1881 Living in Slade Lane, Levenshulme: William Edwin Cary (age 36 born Boston, Lincs.), Spring Manufacturer employing 60 men and 6 boys. With his wife Alice Ann Cary (age 34 born Salford) and their two sons William H. Cary (age 12 born Cheetham, Lanc.) and Charles E. Cary (age 5 born Levenshulme). One servant.[1]

1911 Living at Pineheath, Cornwall Road, Harrogate: William Edwin Cary (age 66 born Boston), Carriage Spring and Axle manufacturer - Employer. With his wife Alice Ann Cary (age 63 born Salford). Married 44 years with two children and of whom one is still living. Also his grand-daughter Doris Cary (age 18 born Withington, Lancs.) and his sister-in-law Catherine Roberts (age 69 born Salford). Three servants.[2]

1926 December 8th. Died of Harrogate, died at At. Annes-on-Sea.
