1845 William Dugard, an accountants clerk, was son of William Dugard, a butcher; he married Harriet Laura Heaton, daughter of George Heaton, engineer, in Aston[1]

1851 Living at Shadwell Street (next door to the Star(?)): William Dugard (age 33 born Hagley), Metal and Wire Maker. With his son George H. Dugard (age 2(?) born Aston Manor). Also one visitor and a nurse.[2]

1860 Indenture. '...between George Joseph Taylor, of Birmingham, in the county of Warwick, Manufacturer of Gilt Jewellery, of the first part; William Dugard, of the Shadwell-street, Rolling Mills, and Edmund Heeley, Electro Plater, both of Birmingham...'[3]

Dugard (age 60 born Birmingham) and their sons William Henry Dugard (age 34 born Birmingham), Metal Roller (18 men and 12 boys); and Herbert A. Dugard (age 32 Born Aston, Birmingham), Metal and Wire Mills. Also his niece Jane F. Blackwell (age 24 born Aston, Birmingham). Two servants and a companion.[10]

1890 Died. Executors included Harriet, William Henry and George Heaton Dugard, of Vulcan Rolling Mills, and Herbert Arthur Dugard of Shadwell St Rolling Mills[11]
