1922 Assoc.M.Inst. C.E., M.Inst.M. and Cy.E., Burgh Engineer, Dumbarton, Burgh Buildings, Dumbarton, Scotland. T.N.: 15 t. b.1883. Ed. Dunoon Grammar School and Royal Technical College, Glasgow. Trained in the office of the Burgh and Water Engineer, Dunoon, and became Assistant Engineer; Assistant in office of Burgh Engineer, Partick; Deputy Burgh Surveyor, Partick; Burgh Surveyor and Sanitary Inspector, Johnstone; Burgh Engineer, Dumbarton (t 919). Chief Works: General engineering works connected with streets, sewers, water supplies, esplanades, harbours, etc.; building works of all kinds, including housing and town planning schemes. Lecturer in Municipal Engineering and Town Planning, Royal Technical College, Glasgow.
