1895 Henry Alfred Willey the son took over the business moved it from Shilhay to Water Lane, Haven Banks and to James Street, off South Street, for the meter business and later moved it again to the Basin factory
1897 Advertised as Willey and Co, Gas Engineers, with offices at Haven Road, St. Thomas, Exeter and works at St. Thomas and James Street, Exeter. [2]
1898 Listed at 18 James Street, Exeter as the Gas Meter Works; at Commercial Road, Shilhay, Exeter and at Basin, Exeter as the Gas Engineering Works. [3]

1903 Became a private company
1928 The company has offices in Manchester, Leicester and Darlington and owns the Vulcan Stove Co. Directors are Stephen Simpson, Charles Langbridge Morgan, Thomas Glanfield, Fred Blanchford and Thornton Willey. [5]
1929 Became part of United Gas Industries.[6]
1937 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Gas Meters and Gas Plant in all descriptions. Brass Fittings for works and district. Hot Brass Stampings. Working models of small and large Meters.
