Wilfred Vernon Legat

Wilfred Vernon Legat (1889-1934) of W. H. Legat, Son and Co

1911 Living at 11 Westwood Road, Bolton: William Henry Legat (age 57 born Richmond, Yks), Manufacturing & Wholesale Chemist. With his wife Isabella, son Wilfred Vernon Legat (age 21 born Bolton) Manufacturing Chemist; and daughter Dorothy Frances Legat. Also his mother.[1]

Although in 1921 he is described as a Manufacturing Chemist, it is not thought that he continued in the business. There a a number of reports of a Wilfred Vernon Legat being a motor engineer in Accrington and Blackburn areas.

1934 July 02nd. Died. 'Mr Wilfred Vernon Legat of Glen House, Bacup-road, Waterfoot died at Bury Infirmary after an illness lasting only a week. He was 45 years of age and carried on sugar boiling business.'[2]
