Wilden Wire Works, of Govilon near Abergavenny

Probably built as a forge in the early 19th century

Said to have been owned by John Harris (d 1819).

Originally known as Govilon Forge, it is shown on the 1842 Tithe map, when it was owned by Edward Matthews.

1874 Joshua Llewelyn Morgan became managing partner

1901 marked as "Iron Works (Disused)" on 1901 25in Ordnance Survey map.
