1938 Company formed by Willard Garfield Weston as public company to acquire a number of bakery, biscuit and confectionery makers[1]:

as well as 6 general bakers and confectioners[2] (presumably including Mitchell and Muil of Bannermill, Aberdeen.

1939 Merger of Allied Bakeries and Weston Foods, both subsidiaries of George Weston Holdings[3].

1957 George Weston Holdings, Ltd. acquired another big Aberdeen bakery firm, George Strathdee, Ltd .[4]

1958 Allied Bakeries' products included Weston biscuits and Sunblest bread[5]

1960 Name changed to Associated British Foods.
