1938 Company formed by Willard Garfield Weston as public company to acquire a number of bakery, biscuit and confectionery makers[1]:

as well as 6 general bakers and confectioners[2]

1939 Merger of Allied Bakeries and Weston Foods, both subsidiaries of George Weston Holdings[3].

1968 Allied Bakeries products included Weston biscuits and Sunblest bread[4]

1960 Name changed to Associated British Foods.
