The Railway Station, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 5BG.

Leadenhall Street, London.

A 14.5 mile line running from Norton Fitzwarren to Watchet and originally in broad gauge, it was opened in 1862. [1]

1857 The company was incorporated.

1868 Engineer is R. P. Brereton.[2]

1882 Converted to standard gauge.

1908 The undertaking (14.5 miles in length) is leased to the Great Western Railway for 999 years.[3]

1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [4]

With the Minehead Railway this line is now preserved.
