1964 Public company incorporated - manufacturers and distributors of electrical elements and appliances[1]

1965 Offer to acquire from Hawkins Developments[2]

1975 Hawkins changed its name to Wellco Holdings and withdrew from building construction[3]

1982 Subsidiary Wellco Electric sold to Newey and Eyre[4]

1990 Wellco Electric and Hopson Bridgers were sold to Electrocomponents[5]


The name of Wellco Holdings was changed to Grosvenor Group

1983 Grosvenor Group acquired Floform of Welshpool from GKN[6]

1984 Grosvenor Group bid for Backer Electric Co, which made electrical elements for domestic appliances[7], and Weigh-Count International; existing subsidiaries included Floform and A. M. Lock and Co[8]

1986 Acquired by Hollis.
