of Wardsend Steel Works, Sheffield.

1860 At this time Samuel Fox was carrying on the Wardsend Steel Works, Sheffield, as well as his works at Deepcar. He transferred George Wood to Wardsend to undertake the management of the works and business there.

Some years afterwards Mr. Wood purchased the works at Wardsend from Mr. Fox.

Mr Wood carried on the works under the style of the Wardsend Steel Company.[1]


By 1954 was part of the Darwins Group
