Born at Shipley the son of John Clapham, Shipping House Manager.

1911 Living at 54 Waterloo Road, Bedford

1919 Died. 'The death has occurred of Mr. Walter Clapham. A.M.I.C.E., of Blenheim, Velmell Road, Exeter. He was the only son, of the late Mr. John Clapham, Shipley, and of Mrs. Clapham of 3, Blenkarne Road, Wandsworth Common. S.W, Mr. Walter Clapham left Shipley nearly 20 years ago and followed the profession of civil engineer at Exeter. He was educated the Salt Schools.'[1]
