1848 Born at Hinckley, Leics., the son of Boultbee Brooks and his wife Ann Smith

1851 Living at Stockwell Road, Hinckley: Boultbee Brooks (age 34 born Hinckley), Master Frame Smith. With his wife Ann Brooks (age 32 born Hinckley) and their three sons; Frederick Brooks (age 10 born Hinckley); Boultbee Brooks (age 5 born Hinckley); and Walter Brooks (age 2 born Hinckley).[1]

1870 Married Mary Jane Boggs

1881 Living at Belgrave House, Edgbaston: Walter Brooks (age 32 born Hinkley, Leics.), Contractor. With his wife Mary J. Brooks (age 29 born Birmingham) and their four children; Edith Brooks (age 8 born Birmingham); Alice Brooks (age 6 born Birmingham); Harry Brooks (age 3 born Edgbaston); and Fredk. W. Brooks (age 1 born Edgbaston).[2]

With his wife Mary Jane Brooks (age 59 born Birmingham) and their son Henry Boultbee Brooks (age 33 born Edgbaston), Manufacturing Electronics Engineer - Motor Dynamos. Walter and Mary married 40 years with 8 children of whom 5 are still living.[3]
