Mining and Civil Engineers of 46 Lowther Street, Whitehaven
1882 In May William Edward Walker and William Peile entered into partnership as mining and civil engineers.[1]
1896 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned William Peile and William Edward Walker carrying on business as Mining and Civil Engineers at Whitehaven in the county of Cumberland under the style or firm of Walker and Peile has been dissolved by mutual consent as and from the 31st day of December 1895. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said William Edward Walker who will carry on the business in his own name at Whitehaven...'[2]
