c.1827 Born in Leeds, son of Edward Joy and his wife Ruth

1855 Had his own 40 stop organ. Asked his brother, David, to design a means of providing motive power for an organ to make it as available as a piano.[1]

1891 Seed crusher and oil merchant, living in Beverley, with Jane Joy 72[2]

1896 Died in Harrogate[3]
