1895 Claimed to be the largest manufacturer of washing, wringing and mangling machines in the world.
1898 Incorporated as a Limited Company. The company, W. Summerscales and Sons (1898), was registered on 29 March, to take over the business of domestic and general engineers of W. Summerscales and Sons. [4]

1914 Laundry and Domestic Engineers. Manufacturers of washing, wringing and mangling machines for hand and power; also garden rollers and seats. [6]
1917 Built a prototype tractor designed by Thomas J. Ridealgh seconded from Mann's Patent Steam Cart and Wagon Co. Had a 25 hp V4 engine with poppet valves and a three-wheel layout.
1919 Aublet, Harry and Co acquired the laundry business.
