1814 Born in Ravenstone, Leicestershire

1843 William Litherland (1804-1883) had a glass, china, etc warehouse in Liverpool[1]

1851 William Litherland 47, glass and china merchant, lived in Mount Pleasant, Liverpool with his sister Elizabeth Litherland 30[2]

1871 Residing at 17 Nursery street, West Derby: William Litherland (age 57 born Ravenstone), Glass and china merchant employing 10 men and 4 women (and unmarried). With his sister Elizabeth and nephews Henry Litherland (age 19 born Ashby-de-la-Zouch), Clerk to Hop Merchant, and John Nicholson, Clerk to Glass and China Merchant.[3]

1877 Presumably contributed to the formation of a reformed Crown Derby Porcelain Works.
