1844 Advert: 'TO AGRICULTURISTS. W. DART respectfully returns his best thanks to his friends who have patronised him in the manufacture of
Sheep Shears and Cider-press Screws,
And to infirm them and the agriculturists generally, that he continues to make Screws for Cider-presses, warranted the best quality, and on the most reasonable terms. Cider growers can be referred to many of the principal agriculturists the North of Devon, who have proved the articles and highly recommend them.
The Screws and Sheep Shears are always kept on sale at the manufactory, Battrix Mill, Molland, near South-molton, or the former may be had at the cellars of Mr. Henry Gibbs, on the Quay, and the latter of Mr. James Gibbs, Bear-street, Barnstaple. Battrix Mill, September 11th. 1844.' [1]
