Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Technical Museum), Mariahilfer Str. 212 , 1140 Vienna, Austria

An exemplary science/technical museum.

Its large collection represents a very wide range of aspects of science and engineering, superbly displayed.

Descriptive information, in German and perfect English, is well-placed closed to the exhibits.

A pragmatic approach is taken to separating exhibits from visitors, with the result that there is generally excellent provision for closely studying and photographing items.

The museum has a comprehensive searchable online catalogue.

The cafeteria - Joules Bistro - offers excellent food at very reasonable prices.

The museum is easily reached by bus, train, or U-bahn (U3 to Johnstrasse or U4 to Schönbrunn)
