1955 High Precision Engineering Ltd was established by Geoffrey Verdon-Roe, son of Sir Alliott Verdon-Roe  to acquire the business of Weir Precision Engineering Ltd.
1956 To avoid confusion with the name of another company, Verdon Roe changed the company's name to Vero Precision Engineering
1969 Vero Machine Tool Co was acquired by Tube Investments, as a complementary operation to its other machine tool businesses. Other Vero businesses, namely Vero Precision Engineering, Vero N. C. Developments and Vero Electronics, were not affected by the deal.
1972 Churchill-Vero received support for a project from government programme for the machine tool industry
