- This 21 mile line ran from Coity Lower on the Llynfi and Ogmore Railway line to Barry. It opened around 1892. [1]
- 1889 The company was incorporated.
- 1897 The line, 21 miles in length, was opened on December 1st, and is to be worked in perpetuity by the Barry Railway. [2]
- 1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [3]
