United Airways
United Airways Ltd was founded in 1935 by Clive Pearson to run Blackpool Corporation Airport. The company planned to fly Spartan Cruisers from Spartan Air Lines and Dragon-Rapide aircraft from De Havilland. The company merged with Spartan Airways, becoming Allied British Airways in 1936. This company would become the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) in 1939.[1]
