1959 United Dairies and Cow and Gate merged to form Unigate.[1]

1972 Acquired Scot Bowyers

1974 Erected an 9,000 sq ft inflatable warehouse as a transit warehouse between production and despatch. Manufactured by Gotthard Air Structures.[2]

1980 Reorganised into 5 divisions:[3]

1980 Acquired Giltspur Investments[4]

1987 Sale of the 5 engineering subsidiaries including MBO of Allbook and Hashfield, part of Giltspur Precision Industries.[5]

2000 Sold the dairy business to Dairy Crest[6]. Company name changed to Uniq[7]. Demerged the Wincanton Logistics subsidiary.

2011 Uniq, by then a shadow of its original parents, was acquired by Greencore Group of Ireland
