1851 Living at Philadelphia, St. Clements, Norwich: Thomas Towlson (age 44 born Chilwell, Notts.), Machinist. With his wife Ann Towlson (age 44 born Beeston) and their children; John Towlson (age 21 born Beeston), Machinist; Edward Towlson (age 15 born Beeston), Machinist; Robert Towlson (age 11 born Beeston); Joseph Towlson (age 9 born Radford, Notts.); M. A. Towlson (age 6 born St. Clements); Rose Belle Towlson (age 4 born St. Clements); and Alice Towlson (age 1 born St. Clements).[1]

1871 Living at Alma Terrace, St. Clements, Norwich: Thomas Towlson (age 65 born Chillwell, Notts.), Engineer and marked as Lame. With his wife Ann Towlson (age 65 born Beeston) and their two daughters Rose Towlson (age 24 born Norwich) and Alice Towlson (age 20 born Norwich), Milliner. Also their grandson Thomas Towlson (age 8 born Norwich).[2]

1873 October 22nd. Death. Age 68. T. Towlson, engineer, of Norwich.[3]
