1853 Company established by Thomas Sheldon, as an Ironfounder at Ladymoor

1879 owing to mining operations the works were moved to Springvale, the year Sheldon died.

The business was carried on by his widow, who took into partnership her son-in-law, Mr. Joseph Millington, under whose management the works increased more than fourfold.

1897 Products included general castings, as well as tinned and enamelled cast iron hollow-ware for foreign markets

1914 Hollow ware founders. Specialities: tinned and enamelled cast iron hollow ware. [1]
