Thomas Reynolds was born in 1884 and was educated at Dartford Polytechnic and Manchester Polytechnic.
After serving an apprenticeship in hydraulic engineering with Hayward Tyler and Co, he was employed as journeyman with the Thames Ironworks Co, the British Thomson Houston Co, and Thornycroft.
He then served for five years as journeyman and charge-man with Wolseley, and a further five years as Assistant Foreman at the Royal Aircraft Factory.
During the war he was an Assistant Inspector with the A.I.D., and in 1920 was appointed Assistant Works Manager at Crossley Motors, becoming Works Manager in 1927.
He died on 30th March, 1929.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1917, and was transferred to Member in 1928, and served for some time on the North of England Centre Committee.
