THOMAS REGINALD HERBERT TETLEY was educated at the Manchester School of Technology, and commenced his apprenticeship in 1899 with Messrs. Emery and Company, Manchester. He was afterwards manager for the firm until 1904 when he was appointed managing director to Messrs. Tetley and Company, Manchester.

He was responsible for the design and supervision of constructional machinery and appliances, refrigeration and mining machinery, high- and low-tension electrical switch-gear, and other electrical installations in connexion with municipal electric lighting and town- planning schemes.

Mr. Tetley retired about five years ago.

He had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1908, and was also an Associate Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.

His death occurred on 15th November 1931, in his fifty-second year.
