1912 Obituary [1]

THOMAS JEFFERIES, born at Wexford in 1836, died there on the 19th December, 1911.

At an early age he went out to Brazil, where he was successively manager of a dock undertaking in Rio de Janeiro, Superintendent of the Pernambuco Gasworks, and Manager and Chief Engineer to the Monte Video Dock and Gas Company, retiring from the last position in 1888.

Mr. Jefferies was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 4th April, 1876.
