Mr. Thomas James Priestman, Chairman and Governing Director of Messrs. T. J. Priestman Ltd., Birmingham, died on July 22, 1938, aged 62.

Mr. Priestman founded his business in 1899 and remained sole proprietor until 1931, when it was formed into a limited company.

He was well known in the metal industry and was a member of the Birmingham Exchange.

He was elected a member of the Institute of Metals in 1917.
