THOMAS HEATHCOTE SMITH died on June 9, 1907, at his residence, Scarboro' House, Penn Fields, Wolverhampton, at the age of fifty-five.

He commenced his business career at the firm of B. Parkes and Sons, Limited, of Dudley, and about thirty years ago went into business on his own account as an ironfounder at Princes End Foundry, Tipton.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1902.
