1871 Living at The Cedars, Harrow (age 32 born St. Giles, Mddx), Manufacturer of Pres and Provisions. With wife Emily E. (age 35 born Finsbury) and children Charles R. (age 10 born Notting Hill), William E. (age 9 born Notting Hill), Arthur H. (age 7 born St. Pancras), Edmund A. (age 5 born Harrow Weald), Harriett M. (age 3). Also Charlotte Slemmer (age 72), his wife's mother, her sister(?) plus five servants. [2]
