1813 Born the son of Thomas Docwra (1785-1843) and his wife Elizabeth Prosser (1791-1859)

1836 Married Elizabeth Gardner and had five daughters and eight sons

1843 Mr T. Docwra was contractor for an artesian well at the Royal Hospital, Haslar

1854 Contractor for laying water pipes from the Rivington Waterworks in Liverpool[1]

1855 Birth of son Colin Docwra

1863 Tendered for works connected with the reservoir at Barking[2]

1871 Living at 104 Balls Pond Road, Islington: Thomas Docwra (age 57 born St. Ives, Hunts), Contractor for Public Works employing 200 men. With his wife Elizabeth, two daughters and three sons.[3]

1881 Living at The Grove, Swanage: Thomas Docwra (age 67 born Cheshunt), Contractor and Widower. With two daughters and a grandson.[4]

1882 Thomas died at Swanage[5]
