1818 Born in Newland, Glos., son of William Bright and his wife Sarah Bright[1]
1851 Living in Guildhall Square, Carmarthen: Thomas Bright (age 33 born Newland, Glos.), Engineer and Iron Founder. With his wife Eliza M. Bright (age 27 born Carmarthen); his mother-in-law Rebecca Puddicombe (age 54 born Haverfordwest); his brother-in-law James Puddicombe (age 30 born Haverfordwest), Draper; and his brother William Bright (age 30 born Newland, Glos.), Engineer. Also various assistants and servants.[2]
1861 Iron founder, employing 37 men and 10 boys, lived in Carmarthen with his family.[3]
Retired from partnership with Jacob Chivers when his son entered the business.
1870 An engineer, when died in Carmarthen[4]
