Thomas Bernard Morgan (1878- )

1911 Living at Ashdown, Rainhill Lancs: Thomas Bernard Morgan (age 32 born Liverpool), Electrical engineer to a group of collieries. With his wife Rhoda Jane, two sons and two daughters.[1]

1922 M.I.E.E., M.I.Min.E., Consulting Mech. and Elec. Engineer, The Lawns, Rainhill, Lancashire. T. A.: " Static, Rainhill." T. N.: 29 Rainhill. b. 1878. Ed. Liverpool and University College, London. Served apprenticeship with Silvertown Co., London and Liverpool. Afterwards Erection Engineer with Dick, Kerr and Co. On the electrical staff of the Metropolitan Railway, London. In 1907 joined the staff of Harland and Wolff, Shipbuilders and Engineers, Belfast, and was engaged on some of the largest electrical installations in the shipping world. In 1911 took up Mining Electrical work. Is at present Engineer-in-Chief to several large groups of collieries in Lancashire. President. of the Mining Electrical Engineers for Lancashire, Cheshire and Staffordshire, 1917 and 1918. Contributes to technical journals on Mining Electrical matters.
