Established in 1853 by Messrs. Miller, Butler & Co. Partnership Successions: (1) In 1858, R. Earwaker & Co., at Castle Gate and Whitehall's Factory; (2) in 1883, R. Steele and T. A. Hill; (3) Thos. A. Hill, since 1891.

Incorporated as a private Limited Company in 1912.

1914 Directors: Thomas A. Hill and Charles H. Hill. Secretary: W. P. Bennett. Specialities: All kinds of Underwear for Men, Women, and Children, especially Fine Goods suitable for Tropical climates.
