Thales Group is a French multinational company that designs and builds electrical systems and provides services for the aerospace, defence, transportation and security markets. The headquarters are in Neuilly-sur-Seine (in the suburbs of Paris), and its stock is listed on the Euronext Paris.
2000 Thomson-CSF acquired Racal Electronics, a UK defence electronics group, for £1.3 billion.
2000 The company changed its name to Thales in December 2000
2001 Shorts Missile Systems was renamed as Thales Air Defence Limited.
2007 Won order for a replacement signalling system for the Piccadilly underground line in London[1]
