c. 1935 The Telephone Manufacturing Co used the trademark Temco for their synchronous and other electric master clocks circa 1935.
1937 Manufacturers of noise-proof and general telephone apparatus. "T.M.C." Telephones. [2]
1947 British Industries Fair Advert as Manufacturers of 'Temco' Synchronous Electric Clocks, suitable for 200-250volts A.C. 50 cycles time-controlled supply. Temco Electrical Wiring Accessories. (Olympia, Ground Floor, Stands No. E.1753 and 1769) [3]
1947 T. M. C.-Harwell (Sales) was responsible for marketing Temco Clocks (see advert)
1959 Company made a loss
1960 Take-over bids from Pye (as a means of diversifying their business) and from a consortium of AEI, Automatic Telephone and Electric Co, Ericsson TelephonesLtd, GEC, Plessey Co and STC (for reasons of standardising the system, coping with excess capacity in the face of reduced orders and in order to develop a response to the Post Office's Bulk Supply arrangements)[4]. Pye was successful in acquiring the company
1976 TMC and Pye fully merged
1977 Pye T.M.C. Components Ltd became Pye Electro-Devices Ltd[5]
1983 From this company PED is formed
