Mr T. R. Houston, B.Sc.(Eng.) (Associate Member), who was a member of this Institution for over 50 years, died in April at the age of 71.

Mr Houston began his engineering career as an apprentice with Willans and Robinson of Rugby in 1911. After gaining further experience with other Midland firms, he joined the English Electric Co. Ltd in 1922 as Chief Draughtsman, a position he held for more than 30 years. He was well known in the Rugby area and will be greatly missed by all his friends and colleagues.
