Manufacturer of tin-plate goods, especially steel trunks
19th century: Business established by Mr. Anthony Hyde,
Subsequently Mr. E. H. Busby, a nephew of Hyde's, took on the business and gained several patents.
The demand for metal cash boxes was such that new premises had to be erected. As the demand for these slackened, it was replaced by the use of travelling trunks.
After Busby's death, his widow married Mr. T. Johnson, who took over the business.
