1851 Established by William and James Savory, afterwards carried on by Savory and Son, afterwards T. and W. Summers, and the Summers and Scott in 1890.[1]
1888 Charles Herbert Scott became managing director; the firm specialised in linoleum machinery.
1891 Made multiple drilling machines[2]
1890s Built stern-wheel boats for river use [3]
1895 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned Joseph Summers and Charles Herbert Scott carrying on business as Engineers, Ironfounders, Boilermakers and Manufacturers of Linoleum Machinery at High Orchard Iron Works in the city of Gloucester under the style or firm of Summers and Scott was dissolved on the 14th clay of August 1895 by mutual consent. All debts due to and liabilities of the late firm will be received and paid by the undersigned Charles Herbert Scott who will carry on the business under the style of Summers and Scott at the High Orchard Iron Works...'[4]
