A former employee, F. C. Fladd, provided some recollections of his time at the Mill Hollow works in the 1870s. He recalled seeing "R & C Johnson, 1827" inscribed in a keystone.[1] See Early Milling Machines for mention of Robert Johnson in the context of a simple milling machine from 1818.
