1903 The oil part of the business of Stern Brothers was renamed Stern-Sonneborn Oil Co Ltd[1]

1907 Moved to Finsbury Square[2]. Converted to a private limited company[3]. Sterns Ltd was registered in this year.

Suppliers of Sternol "King of Lubricating Oils"[4]

1911 Considerably increased turnover[5]

1912 Supplied Flotteur sight feed lubricator[6] and Sternol oil testing machines[7]

1913 Exhibited at the Scottish Motor Show[8]

Later became Sterns Ltd


1924 (In Germany) Stern-Sonneborn was taken over by Royal Dutch-Shell.
