1835 Stephen Sansum and Co, of Loveday Street, Birmingham were makers of steel pens[1] - unsure whether this is the same person or a relation.

1851 Stephen Sansum 33, steel pen tool manufacturer, lived in Birmingham with Harriet Sansum 33, Lavinia Sansum 5, Stephen Sansum 3, David H Sansum 1[2]

1852/3 Mr Sansum left the employ of Josiah Mason, taking up a job in France. His place was taken by Isaac Smith[3]

1866 Steel pen and pen holder manufacturer, of Caroline St, Birmingham[4]

1883 died in West Bromwich[5]
