1819 'On Christmas Day, at Birstal, in Yorkshire, while on a journey of business, Mr. Stephen Russell, late of the firm of Russell, Johnson and Sharrocks of this town, wire workers, aged 61. He was also for upwards of forty years, a faithful and acceptable [?] preacher in the Wesleyan Methodist connexion,- his end was peace.'[1]
