1886 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, William Hitchcock Spencer and John Henry Carter, as Agricultural and General Engineers and Manufacturers of Agricultural and other Machines, Implements, and Engines, at Hitchin, in the county of Hertford, under the firm of Spencer, Carter, and Co., has been this day dissolved. All debts due to and owing by the said partnership will be received and paid by the said William Hitchcock Spencer, by whom the said business will in future be carried on, under the style of W. H. Spencer and Co...'[1]
