1932 Private company incorporated. Callenders, Henleys, Enfields and Union concentrated their production in Union's works at Dagenham, and formed the Southern producing unit, which was later taken over by a new company, Southern United Telephone Cables Ltd. formed by the four companies involved.

1961 BICC disposed of its shareholding in this company[2] to AEI
Name changed to Telephone Cables Ltd
