2002 Established to understand, record and where appropriate preserve the remains of mining in South Gloucestershire.

Every September open days are held at Oldwood Pits, near Rangeworthy, north of Yate, which is a former 19th century Colliery with interesting associated workings, (pit-shaft, drift, mine office and tunnel), mining artefacts and displays. See website for more details.
